Current Volunteer Opportunities

Street Child Africa often have volunteering opportunities available. For most of our roles we generally ask for a minimum commitment of at least 3 months.

We are currently looking to fill the following volunteer roles:

Communications, Design and Marketing Volunteer

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications, Design and Marketing Volunteer: a dynamic and self motivated professional to generate the vital resources needed to meet future challenges and build upon last year’s £1.1m income. You will be delivering significant revenue from a range of sources including major donors, corporates, trusts and foundations. We have an opportunity to learn more about working with a charity and gain experience of marketing. We are currently looking for an intern who can help us expand our merchandise range and support our design and communications strategies, liaising with suppliers and assist with the design of any publications and leaflets as necessary.

Finance Volunteer

We are looking for someone with a background in bookkeeping or accountancy, able to take responsibility and can be relied on to complete tasks to fulfil the role of Finance Volunteer.  They should have knowledge of Excel, can be trained on Enterprise, but are unlikely to use Sage (as we would need a multi-user licence with limited access levels). Training for items such as Gift Aid can take 6months so we really need someone long-term (1 year minimum). The following spec would change according to the ability of the volunteer.
