Fundraising idea - October 2011
Singing togther for kids on the streets
Join us this Christmas to sing carols in your community, school, church, or club, to help kids on the streets of Africa. Our team is here to help and support you. Whether you go door to door, sing in your local shopping centre, or organise a carol concert, we can help you make it easy and fun!
Singing together in your neighbourhood will raise money for street children, and a little Christmas cheer.
To organise your carol singing:
-
Find friends or colleagues in your school, workplace, local parish or support group who are interested in taking part. If you are under 16, get your parents' permission before you start.
-
Pick a date and time in December.
-
Pick a location with enough space and publicity for your group of carol singers.
-
Contact your local Local Council and Police Station for permission (if you’ve decided to sing in a public place). Don’t forget to make sure that your chosen venue is happy for you to sing there!
-
Decide which carols you want to sing and whether you want any musical accompaniment.
- Make sure everyone has all the words, and you could even have a practice session!
