Gift Aid

Did you know that if you are a UK tax payer we can claim an extra 25% on every pound that you donate because of the Government's Gift Aid scheme?

In order for us to be able to claim this you must:

• pay enough UK income tax and/or capital gains tax  in a tax year to cover the amount of tax the charity will reclaim on your donations in that year
• send a completed Gift Aid declaration along with your donation

Your Gift Aid declaration is an easy way of us receiving more for your donation at no cost to you. A declaration can be made to cover individual donations, a series of donations, donations made during a specified period or to cover all future donations. They can also be backdated for up to 4 years prior to the date of the declaration.

You can either download our gift aid declaration form or you can send us a letter as a declaration, the declaration should be sent to Street Child Africa and should include:

- your name
- your home address
- Street Child Africa as the charity that you wish to donate to
- details of the donation - saying that it is a Gift Aid donation
- confirmation that you have paid UK tax to cover the tax Street Child Africa will reclaim.
