Research and Resources

Boy on the streets at nightThere are many ways that you can extend your knowledge of street children's plight in Africa. We hope that some of the resources we have provided on these pages will prove useful for you to find out more about what we do and why street children are an important cause to represent.

Here you can find links to other web pages that contain information about where we work and the children that we work to help. We also have videos in which you can see the locations of Street Child Africa's partners and the situation that street children have to survive in.

Street Child Africa's work has been assisted by Ruth Payne who worked in partnership with us to undertake a large research operation on Child Headed Households in Zambia. Based upon a multi-trip research design across four urban and semi-rural communities between 2004 and 2008, the action research approach resulted in a number of exciting innovations. You can read more about this on our Research page.
