Volunteers

Our volunteers and interns are crucial to ensuring that we have the capacity to deliver on a challenging workload. At Street Child Africa, we believe in identifying key skills in volunteers, and developing their roles so that they can maximise the use of those skills. Each volunteer is allocated a member of staff as a supervisor to ensure they are welcomed into the charity and to support them in their tasks.

Volunteer roles are many and varied, but some of the important roles they fulfill include:  Volunteerswithstaff

  • Parish appeals coordinator
  • Regional schools fundraising
  • Regional parish fundraising
  • Translation of documents
  • Press and PR
  • Research
  • Financial administration
  • Administration support

In addition, we have a whole team of volunteers who regularly help us with all manner of administrative tasks, from data entry to filing. And when it comes to sending out our twice-yearly newsletter, it is all hands on deck with the whole team of vounteers getting involved.

If you would like to volunteer for Street Child Africa, please check our Volunteering page, or contact our Office Manager Kelly on kelly@streetchildafrica.org.uk or telephone her on 020 8972 9820.

PLEASE NOTE THAT STREET CHILD AFRICA DOES NOT SEND VOLUNTEERS TO AFRICA.

If you are interested in volunteering in Africa, please check our Links page, where you may be able to find other organisations which assist with volunteering in developing countries. The list is by no means exclusive or endorsed by Street Child Africa.
